If you’re looking for the best in lawn care, look no further.
Premier Turf Farms has been a leader in the lawn care industry for over 20 years.
We provide service beyond the sale to ensure that our clients are completely satisfied with their newly installed sod and can enjoy it for many years to come.
Fast and Prompt Services
Our goal is to make your purchase smooth and simple.
For faster transactions, get ready to provide the following information:
- How much sod is needed
- Desired date of pick-up or delivery
- Delivery Address
We like to have at least a day’s notice for pickups, but we can sometimes accommodate requests for next-day or same-day pickup as long as you schedule them in advance.
Before you give our farm a visit, you should consider the weight and volume capacity of your vehicle. We’ve been doing this for a long time, so here’s a breakdown of the general capacity most vehicles our customers bring:
- Sedan trunk: eight rolls
- Small station wagon/SUV: 16 rolls
- Small pickup/minivan/medium SUV: 30 rolls
- 1/2 ton pickup with or without a small trailer/large SUV: pallet
- 3/4 ton truck with full-length bed: 1-2 pallets depending on the month
We’ll load sod by hand for smaller orders, but if you need help with a forklift or if your truck is too large to use our smallest loader, we’ll stack it on the back of your pickup or trailer so that you don’t need to take the pallets with you when you go.
If you are hauling with your car, it is always a good idea to bring a small tarp or any protective cover to protect your trunk from staining and any damage.
For deliveries, it’s best to call us as far in advance as you can so we can arrange everything for you and deliver lush, fresh, and healthy rolls of sod on time. When the busy season rolls around, we can be booked out days in advance. And even if you don’t know exactly what you need yet, you can reserve a spot on a truck on a particular day.
- We have two types of delivery trucks:
- Straight truck – Can hold up to 6 pallets
- Tractor-trailers – Can hold up to 18 pallets
Most of the time, we’ll have more than one delivery stop with the same truckload. If you think our tractor-trailer can’t fit down your street, please tell us that when you place the order.
If you live in a gated community or if you need the sod to be placed in a specific location or not, please let us know. Our forklifts are 8 feet wide and can maneuver easily. We’ll place the pallets around the site so that you have easy access to the sod.
We're Here For You, Rain or Shine
Rain or shine, our Premier Turf Farm is here to help you out with your yard service needs.
We can cut and deliver your sod before the rain starts if you want it, or cut it after the storm has passed when things are drying out.
Our prices are based on quantity, so please don’t hesitate to let us know how much sod you need.
How to Measure Sod for Your Next Order
Measuring sod is not as easy as it seems. The most accurate way to measure large areas is with a measuring wheel.
For smaller areas, a tape measure can be sufficient.
It’s even less accurate to measure the area in steps rather than using a measuring wheel. The worst thing you can do is eyeball your square footage without any measurements at all.
Know how much sod you need in three easy steps:
- Divide the area into squares or rectangles.
- When you divide your yard into smaller areas, measure each area and write down the measurements.
- Once you’ve measured all areas, add up all of the measurements for your total.
Tip: Get a Little Extra
You can save money by ordering a little extra sod. Leftover sod can be placed into holes and odd areas to fill in the gaps.
We offer a refund on wooden pallets. We charge $25 per pallet and refund it when pallets are returned in good condition.
